Poppy Room

Our 2–3-year-old children have a beautiful room, with plenty of space, wooden beams and skylights. The room inspires open-ended play. There is direct access to the toilets/changing area from the main space.

Adjoining this room are three spaces, the Lavender room complete with a Magic Carpet projection system and sensory lights. The Lily Room, a creative play space where children can explore different materials and media to develop their imagination. Finally, the Ivy Room providing a purposeful space where sociable mealtimes take place.

Our children have direct access to their own spacious south facing garden that is well resourced, with two outdoor classrooms, a purpose-built sandpit, a large low level climbing frame, a large mud kitchen and construction area.

During the day, this space is used flexibly by both Daisy and Poppy children to provide an opportunity to learn and develop from their peers.
